Los Angeles attorney Jose Masso focuses on the defense of self-insured companies, trucking companies, and insurance carriers in cases of wrongful death, passenger claims, property damage, baggage claims, employment, and product liability. He has extensive experience in appellate work and has drafted multiple appeals in Oregon and California. He also prepared a Petition for Review to the Oregon State Supreme Court, and a petition to the U.S. Supreme Court for Writ of Certiorari.
While in law school, Jose served as an Oregon Rule 9 clerk, where he defended persons accused of DUI, sex abuse, RICO, and other felony and misdemeanor crimes.
Jose earned his law degree from Lewis and Clark School of Law, where he received the Pro Bono Award. He studied international criminal law at the University of Amsterdam and European Union and intellectual property law at the Université Panthéon-Assas in Paris as part of the Tulane Law School European Study Program. He earned his BA in Economics from the University of Redlands in 2004, graduating Phi Beta Kappa.
Jose is a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in all state courts in Washington and California and the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Eastern Districts of California, and the Western and Eastern Districts of Washington.
